Van Briggle Pottery gourd form vase in red clay with a matte rose pink curdled and wrinkled glaze. Red clay was only used in 1905, 06, and 07. It is number 319 in the shape book, designed in 1905, and called "Plain". It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repair. It measures 5 1/4 inches tall and 3 7/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Signed with the firm's double AA box mark, shape number 319, and 1905. A great shape and glaze on an early vase from the famous Colorado Springs art pottery.
