Teco Pottery four buttress “rocket ship” vase. Designed by W.D. Gates, it is probably shape number 417 in the Teco catalog. It has the famous Teco matte green signature glaze with a little charcoaling. It measures 7 3/8 inches tall and about 3 3/8 inches across the buttress’. In good condition with small restorations to rim and buttress chips, otherwise no other cracks or firing flaws,. Signed under the foot with the firm's die-stamped mark. A desirable and hard to find form.
