Rookwood Pottery scenic vellum glaze plaque titled “Lake of the Woods” by Elizabeth McDermott. A beautiful example, well painted, with good color. The porcelain plaque measures 9.25 inches x 7.25 inches, framed 15.25” x 13.25”. Signed by the artist on the face; on the back with the firms die-stamp and XVIII for 1918. It is in great condition with only a few bubbles in the glaze, and no chips, cracks, repairs, and typical crazing. Re-framed, the title and artist written on the back, presumably from the original label.
