Rookwood Pottery floral matte finish vellum covered jar decorated by Sallie Elizabeth Coyne. A band of rose pink blooms maybe daisy with green stems circles the shoulder on a white band with black outlines against a gray body. It measures 7 3/4 inches tall to the top of the lid finial and 5 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, XX for 1920, shape number 2, and SEC for the artist. Possibly signed SEC inside the lid as well. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs, and only the typical crazing, a few small glaze inconsistencies, and tiny bubbles. Lid is a loose fit. A beautiful example of arts & crafts Rookwood vellum.
