Rookwood Pottery rare and exceptional “Z” series matte green vase or lamp base decorated with three dimensional bronze clad tulips by Kataro Shirayamadani in Cincinnati OH c. 1901. It measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 5/8 inches tall. Marked with the RP die-stamp, I for 1901, shape number 324Z, and artist signed in characters. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs. A sculptural and beautiful example of arts & crafts Rookwood.
