Newcomb College Pottery scenic landscape vase in their signature matte blue green glazes. The full moon shows through the moss draped oak trees with a distant tree line at the horizon. Very well carved with good contrast and color, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 3 7/8 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, SI for decorator Sadie Irvine, JM for the potter Joseph Meyer, and date code LP78 for 1921.
