Newcomb College Pottery rose vase

$0.00

Newcomb College Pottery low vase decorated with a wild rose flower band at the shoulder in their signature matte blue and green glazes with white flowers and yellow centers. Well carved with good contrast and color, and a pleasing form. It measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just two tiny glaze skips at the foot. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined AFS for artist Anna Frances Simpson, date code KF86 for 1919, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer. A fine example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
