Newcomb College Pottery rose vase

$0.00

Newcomb College Pottery bulbous vase decorated with a wild rose flower band at the shoulder in their signature matte blue and green glazes with pink flowers with yellowish centers. Deeply carved with great contrast and color, and a pleasing shape. It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, or firing flaws. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined AFS for artist Anna Frances Simpson, date code MU34 for 1922, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer. A fine example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
