Newcomb College Pottery 4 3/8" rose vase

Newcomb College Pottery bulbous vase decorated with a wild rose flower band at the shoulder in their signature matte blue and green glazes with pink flowers with yellowish centers. It measures 4 3/8 inches tall and 5 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, or firing flaws. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined AFS for artist Anna Frances Simpson, date code NT33 for 1924, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer. A fine example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
