Newcomb College Pottery 1913 floral gourd vase

$0.00

Newcomb College Pottery vase very finely carved with flowers, leaves, and stems on a gourd shape. Probably snow drop flowers done in their signature matte blue and green glazes with good relief and contrast. It measures 6 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, A.M. for artist Alma Mason, date code GD7 for 1913, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer. An excellent example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts southern art pottery.
