Marblehead Pottery leaf & berry decorated vase

$0.00

Marblehead Pottery decorated ovoid vase with a repeating design of leaf, vine, and berries around the rim in green and brown against a matte speckled sandy yellow ground. The interior is a glossy amber clear showing through to the red clay. It measures 5 1/8 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws, just a little unevenness from the throwing inside the rim. Marked on the bottom with their die-stamped ship mark and oval paper label. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
