Marblehead Pottery butterfly decorated cylinder vase

$0.00

Marblehead Pottery decorated cylinder or barrel form vase with three orange butterflies in a band of green leaves and blue flowers against a matte speckled sand yellow ground. The interior is a glossy clear green color. It measures 4 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, just a little crazing. Marked with the firm's die-stamped MP and ship mark. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A fine piece of New England Arts & Crafts art pottery.
