Grueby Pottery & Tile Co trivet tile depicting a hare leaping over flowers from their circle design series which are usually in two colors. This tile has six of their famous curdled matte green, blue, tan, white, and yellow glazes. It measures 6 1/8 inches square and about 1 inch thick. (12" square framed) Marked with glazer’s initials MTC. It is in great condition with only tiny flakes to corners,and no other chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. The edges are glazed for use as a trivet. Framed without covering the face of the tile in a custom arts & crafts oak frame. A really nice example from Boston's famous Arts & Crafts Art Pottery.
