Grueby Pottery tall baluster form vase with three sprays of unusually stylized iris flowers, leaves, and buds. It is covered in their curdled matte green glaze, with bright yellow high relief tooled flowers and slightly lighter leaves, perfectly executed. It measures 11 3/4 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with only a small invisible rim restoration and no other chips, cracks, or firing flaws. Marked with the Grueby Pottery Co Boston USA die-stamp, and incised decorator initials, possibly AL for Annie Lingley. An excellent example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
