Van Briggle Pottery rare early vase with a blue green bi-color glaze thinning to cream at the rim. It is number 231 in the shape book, designed in 1903 by Artus Van Briggle, and called "Peacock Feathers". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just one small burst bubble on the shoulder. It measures 5 5/8 inches tall and 7 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the firm's double AA box mark, shape number 231, the date, 1905, and the Roman numeral X. A great glaze on an early, dated vase from the famous Colorado Springs art pottery.
