Newcomb College Pottery cabinet vase decorated flowers and leaves on a slendered shouldered form. Carved by Henrietta Bailey and glazed in their matte blue and pink glazes with lighter centered flowers and excellent relief and contrast. It measures 4 5/8 inches tall and about 2 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just a small glaze drip on one side. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined HB for the artist, and date code QE29 for 1927. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
