Newcomb College Pottery vase with a gourd form and decoration of wisteria flowers and leaves. Carved by Henrietta Bailey and glazed in their matte blue and green glazes with good contrast. It measures 6 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repair. Marks with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined HB for the artist, and date code NS17 for 1924. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
