$395.00
Edwin and Mary Scheier studio pottery bowl with a glossy blue green glaze and a brown rim on a coupe shaped form. Thrown by Mary and made of their 1950's beige clay. It measures 3 1/4 inches tall and 5 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just some glaze run ground off at the foot. Signed Scheier inside the foot. The Scheiers taught ceramics at the University of New Hampshire from the late 1930's through the late 1960's and were contemporaries of Gertrude and Otto Natzler, Beatrice Wood, and Maija Grotell.
