Marblehead Pottery decorated landscape tile sides) with a colorful Arthur Wesley Dow influenced scene of trees in matte blue, green, and brown with a sand yellow foreground field. It measures about 4 3/8 inches square and 3/8 inch thick. Framed in a period oak arts & crafts frame (9.75" square). It is in great condition with only a back corner chip and no face chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs. Marked with their impressed MP ship and waves mark. The pottery was founded in Massachusetts by Dr Herbert Hall, run by Arthur Baggs, and dates to about 1915. A fine New England Arts & Crafts art pottery tile.
