Grueby Pottery & Tile Co tile from the ocean series depicting shore birds flying over waves in their famous very well curdled matte green, blue, yellow, brown, and white glazes. Glazed sides indicating it was made as a trivet with the original felt bottom. It measures 4 1/8 inches square and about 7/8 inch thick. (7 1/2" square framed). Unmarked. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Framed in a custom arts & crafts oak frame.
