Grueby Pottery & Tile Co tiles from the ocean series frieze designs with their famous curdled matte green, blue, tan, orange, and white glazes. They depict the albatross, penguins on the ice floe, ducks in the sunrise, seagulls, and the bell buoy in waves. They each measure about 4 inches square and about 1 inch thick. Framed in a custom quartered oak arts and crafts style frame (7 3/8" x 25 1/2"). Marked with a variety of glazers initials and one with a raised star. They are in great condition with only some minor edge and corner nicks and no big chips, cracks, or repairs, and just a few scattered bubbles.
