Grueby Pottery leaf and bud vase with 5 well tooled curled tip leaves, vertical stems, and buds at the rim of this hand thrown bulbous bottom form. Covered with their famous curdled matte green glaze which thins nicely on the relief decoration. There are three small restored rim chips otherwise it’s in good condition with no cracks or firing flaws. Faintly marked with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA circular die-stamp. It measures 6 7/8 inches tall and 4 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest.
