Grueby Pottery exceptional large melon form vase with fourteen broad and spike high and low leaves. It is covered in their famous curdled matte green glaze. It measures 15 5/8 inches tall and 10 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. There is professional restoration to a couple of rim chips and a drill hole in the bottom which eliminated the mark. It is otherwise in great condition with no cracks or firing flaws. Remnants of original paper label affixed to bottom. An excellent and huge example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
