Grueby Pottery large bulbous gourd form vase with ten overlapping tooled leaves around the spherical body. It is covered in their famous curdled matte green glaze. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the earlier Grueby Faience Co Boston USA die-stamp, the incised decorator initials FG (unknown). An excellent and rare form from the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
